Italian Republic Day Celebration in Warsaw

The Italian Republic Day, organised by the Embassy of Italy in Warsaw on 4 June 2025 in the splendid hall of the Warsaw University of Technology, was a highly significant event for the Italian community and for the bilateral relations between Italy and Poland. The event, hosted by Ambassador Luca Franchetti Pardo, was attended by over 900 guests, including Polish officials, Italian representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, figures from the business and cultural worlds, as well as many friends of Italian culture.

In his speech, Ambassador Franchetti Pardo recalled the historical significance of the 2 June 1946 referendum, emphasising Italy’s commitment to peace, international cooperation, and the values it shares with Poland. Particular attention was paid to economic cooperation, with trade between the two countries becoming increasingly strong.

Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, Undersecretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the importance of European cooperation and thanked Italy for its contribution to the continent’s security and development. The evening unfolded in an authentic Italian atmosphere, enhanced by a tasting of gastronomic delicacies typical of Italy, which offered guests a wonderfully convivial and engaging experience.

The event was not only a celebration of republican values, but also a tangible opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Italy and Poland, testifying to the commitment of both communities towards a future of growth, friendship, and solidarity.
